If this was the end, it came up short
The band was explosive, energetic, and awesome. It was spectacular, not bad at all. But, if this was the Final Frontier and their final tour, then the gig came up short. Half of the crowd raised their hands to his surprise when Bruce asked how many people were seeing The Game for the first time. What is the significance of that? Ticket were $85 plus fees even for upstairs at the Garden and even more if you were lower. So for nearly $100 a ticket the band should have played the tunes that made them huge. The ones they left out were: Run to the Hills, Aces High, The Trooper, 2 Minutes to Midnight, and Flight of Icarus, amongst others. It was the song selection that disappointed me. I saw the setlist from the night before prior to going to the show and I was very bummed. People seemed to have been waiting and waiting for some of these epic tunes. I, for one, loved the show I saw but wish it had included the absolute classic tracks that sold their albums and made them famous.
